Few weeks back I bought a Farmall 504 Diesel, posted about it on here, some of You might remember the posts. Tractor runs good, bushhoged a few acres, mechanicaly seems to be in good shape. Electricly, Well thats another story. Took a few days to get all the manuels I can find, first thing I see is the serial number is wrong to have an alternator, this one does. Wirein' appears to be a mess. Not a gauge works, glow plugs don't work, some gauges are broken.Checked this site for parts, no wirein' harnesses, not much in the way of gauges. If I wanted to put the tractor back original, is there any where to find the original gauges and wirein'.Would You change back to a generator or keep the alternator? This is a 64 model, serial number just under 10,000. I can replace the gagues with others that will work, with the wirein' diagrams I have I can rewire the tractor runnin' the wires thru the plastic conduit parts houses sell, bein' original is not a must, I mainly want as good a runnin' and as strong a tractor as I can make this one. Where will I find glow plugs? Also the sheet metal peice goin' under the dash? Only missin' the one peice of sheet metal. I think I got a good one to go to school on. Bill Caldwell
