I drove the exact same tractor, only it was painted blue and had wheels ; ) Yes, lots of power, and it's a thirsty rig too. Something like 20 gal. per hour, but that was pulling a deep 9 shank disc ripper at nearly 6 mph. Also pulled a 50 ft. field cultivator at 8 mph. Hardly knew it was back there unless it was wet ground or on a hill. As long as I don't have to pay the fuel bill, it's a heckuva machine.

Just for comparison - a cat 475 in truck used to show 24.8 gal per hour while climbeing hills.

Is that the row crop or wheatland version? :)
You couldn't turn that thing around on my place.

Thanks Walt for the photos.

GEE! I'm not sure its pretty high in the center for clearance but has no way to set the wheel width.
I want to get a pic of the long train they pull behind it when discing. Takes a half mile just to turn it around. Walt

I think I heard once that construction companies are buying more of those than farmers.

Seen those at a couple of housing development construction sites around here. Kind of wierd to see a red tractor amongst all the yellow construction equipment.

A construction company has been moving dirt down the road from me. They have 3 of them pulling scrapers. 2 have a single and the other pulls a double. Looked like they were doing a nice job with them.

They are nice tractors. Neighbor had a chance to drive one for about 10 hours one day. As he would say " lot's of power ". He almost traded his CIH 9370 for one until he found out how much it cost to put new tracks on it. $12,000.00+ for all 4.
