This shed started out as a 50x400 building that was once used for raising turkeys. Now the owner of the property wants to get rid of the buildings (there are two). A local moving company is cutting the 400 foot long buildings into 4 sections and moving 100 foot at a time. The sides had to be removed to be able to go down the road (there are several very tight spots!) Once the shed reached it"s destination, we welded the bottom 5 feet back on each steel truss, then raised the building up so that the walls are 12 feet tall. Drilled post holes, set 6x6s and bolted them to the legs of the steel trusses. Now just have to tin the sides! As you can see, it is filling up fast :-) One of my brothers is getting two of these sheds and once he gets his set up he can put his hay in his own shed ! LOL

Showed this to my wife and said I would look into the shut down chicken buildings not far (25 miles)from the farm. I think that was a great idea. Could make hay storage out of those things. Bob

What kind of yellow trailer thing is that? I don't think I've ever seen a trailer with independent steering controls on its own axle before.
I can see that for something that long you'd almost need independent steering for tighter turning, but I've never seen such a gadget.

Kirk, it is not exactly one of a kind. I have seen several set up the same way. An outfit here moved 9 houses that were codemned so a new by-pass could go through and they had 3 rigs almost identical to that one. That was 4 years ago and one house is still sitting on one at another place now. It has sunk on one side and looks to be in jepordy to me.

I just cringe when I hear or see some guy willing to give a testicle for something. I lost a testicle to cancer. I didn't get anything for it and chemo worse than you can imagine. I'm fine now and you only need one but if I traded a testicle for something and got cancer I wouldn't have any now. I know it's just an expression but it's now a good one and it's not funny.

Must be the weight of all that was well spread out, amazing all they needed was a class 6 single axle truck to pull it, and that sure makes for some nice dry space.
