Well after not getting any rain since the middle of July we are now getting a much needed rain. Got about 2 inches last night which is good but I think its still going to be to little to late. Last time I walked any of my fields it was drier the a pop corn fart out there. Guess if we keep getting some rain there might be hope that I will get another cutting of hay guess only time will tell.

We're still not getting any surplus here in mid Michigan. We've haD an inch and a half since Saturday nite. Been just drizzle. Was an inch at 8:30 am today, then it finally actually RAINED actual rain drops. Another four tenths. Took a load of cattle to St Louis, got home to another tenth, still drizzling. More 90 degree heat by Wednesday,so it will probably dry up fast again.

looks like you may be getting more rain your way old, todays forcast is heavy rains for springfield and rolla mo, couple days of sunshine, then from saturday into most of next week, lots of rain and thunderstorms. we been getting a lot of rain this year up here in north central illinois. been raining here since saturday, supposed to rainmost of this week too. cant hardly keep up with mowing, weeds are growing like crazy. pumpkins are getting ripe, corn is starting to fire at the base. got a few patches of sudden death in the beans, sprayed fungicide, then sprayed for aphids. thank god the japanese beetles werent bad this year.
