Dad is looking for a newer loader tractor within a reasonable distance from the SW corner of North Dakota. Anyone know some good websites that we can search by distance? Or by state?

Father-in-law has land for sale in south central ND, wondering where we could advertise it online to reach a wider audience. Any help there?

Thanks for tolerating my off-topic requests! third party image

Steve, We own farms in Adams County, the crop land is rented to wheat guys that farm 10,000 plus acres. We keep some of the pasture for my brothers kids 4H projects. Great pheasants though. I wish your father the best of luck buying a late model loader tractor anywhere near there for anything like a reasonable price. I have been going to sales, and sending my brother for years, Everyone seems to have money, and lots of it. Prices of good ag equipent shocks my San Francisco prices sensabilities. We use a Farmall M with a F11 and grappel that grandpa bought in 1950 (no power stearing or live pto). Even something like that will set you back $3500 these days. As for selling land in south centeral North Dakota, the best advice is don't do it. But if you have to I would advertise it in whatever newspapers doctors and dentists in Minneapolis and Denver read.

Well, by "late model" I mean something newer than 1975 and probably older than 1990. What he is really looking for is a 5088 IH, 2290 Case or a 4440 JD to put a loader on. Budget is around $20k. I found several 2290's for $10k to $15k last night.

Why not sell land in south central ND? Prices are good and my FIL is ready to think about retirement - he is tired of working and his health is not 100% anymore.

Thanks to everyone for the websites and suggestions! I'll pass them along.

Scott;

If you grow up with a tractor/loader setup that doesnt have power steering or live hydraulics you never miss it.

Steven, Go to "fastline.com" and view on line. Or Contact them and get a catalogue for your area of the world, N.D. is in the High Plains edition of Fastline. Hope this helps.
Later,

Ag Week from Grand Forks, N.D. and The Aberdeen (S.D.) Green Sheet and Fargo (N.D.) Forum on Fri? are some sources that have WIDE distribution and target MANY farmers and implement dealers.
