What do you guys use to wash up with that will get rid of the smell from working with gas? Soap and water doesn't seem to get it very good, that or the mrs. has an overly acute sense of smell. Thanks Mike.

Got to agree, either the Permatex Fast Orange, or just as good, the NAPA equivilent. Have used the NAPA brand without pumice for years and it has takes off everything pretty good except open gear lube, and brake cleaner works good for that if you follow it with the hand cleaner to get it off.

Most grocery stores and probably all parts stores will carry "waterless" hand cleaners--stay away from gritty stuff with pumice, it grinds everything off, including skin-get the cream kind, dozens of brands, comes in 1,2,5 lb cans (oops, plastic)it's like a thick creamy pudding. You put some on, smear it around a bit, it melts grease, diesel, gas, you either wipe it off with a rag and then wash, or wash it off with water (depending on brand). Try it, you'll never be without it. (She'll like the way your hand feels, too, but I won't mention that).

Well,if you had a cow that hadn't cleaned, and went out and tugged on that for a while without rubber gloves, that might do it.
