If the tractor is 60's or older click on Serial Numbers on the left side of the page under Research & Info.

Post the serial number; we can then tell you the year.

Lou Ann;

You are missing 1 number from the serial number. Sometimes there will be a number under the rivet on the left side of the tag. If it is a "4" it will be a 1944 model. If it is a "5" it is a 1953 model. Early in the 1953 model year, Case changed the numbering system and SC tractor serial numbers started with 8XXXXX ... Gene

Gene, you were right I missed a number. The serial number is 4708950sc. So this means it is a 1944 model, is that correct? Also does anyone have an idea as to what it would be worth? Needs new tires and a starter. My husband would tinker with the starter and get it to work. I am not so talented. Thanks for the info. Lou Ann

Gene, wouldn't it be a 43 model if the first digit is 4? (47-4=43.)

You are right Tom. I hit the wrong key and missed it when I reread it... Gene
