Hi Russ,

I think your F-20 should be gray.

Are you russellmyers926 on eBay?

Andy.

That's the story. A lot of F20 and Regulars were repainted red to make them look more modern. Just like 300s and 400s were painted with white grills and hood insert to mach the 350 and 450. We even painted white grills on Super Ms. So is it correct? You decide. I painted my 330 industrial yellow just because it had been that color most of it's life and I wanted to keep it that way.

The mandate came in Nov of 1936, presumably to start with tractors produced for the 1937 model year. But one would also assume that the existing stocks of grey paint were used up. And then it stands to reason that left over models would have been repainted red by the factory or by dealers before sale the next spring. So who knows? I am quite certain there was some overlap.
