(The truck I use to haul my tractor, etc. etc.)

Orscheln sells spray on bed liner stuff, I guess similar to Rhino Liner. Has anyone here used it and do you have any recommendations one way or the other?

Thanks.

Rusty you are right on! When I bought a truck the salesman said what kinda liner you want? I said I dont need any until bed is all screwed up and then I put one on and sell truck back to you.

I use the replaceable rubber liners they can removed and the bed cleaned and they can be washed. and I have aluminum at both end and on the side tops. Looks good and protects. I could car less what the next guy gets that's his problem. I use my trucks till worn out anyway.

Thanks gents. Yeah, I know it won't protect against dings. Sounds like, like most things, if you follow the directions, including a good job of surface prep, it should be okay.

That bed-liner stuff is way over-rated. It might prevent a few scratches, but it sure won't stop the dings. I think a better option is too just use your truck the way it came from the factory and when it's time to trade it in, re-paint the bed.

it prevents schitt from sliding around in the bed. It's not quite as overrated as you might think. I've had rhino linings in my trucks, they've all lasted for over 10 years now.

the previous owner of my truck put a roll on type bed liner on and it is chipping and flaking off. Some of them turn out nice, but mine was a crappy job. Surface prep is deffinatly the key, as is putting on enough coats. One of my farms other trucks has Line-x and we love it. my position- do it right or have it pro done

My son works at Ziebart, doing the bed liner trick! He says there is a lot of preparation work before applying the liner coats. Sanding the finish, masking and other things. Then he has to put on some clothing, masks, gloves, breathing air, all that heavy stuff, to protect his lungs! He says that several whiffs of that stuff in the lungs will make ya eligible for a coffin, in short order!
