I"m thinking of selling my JD R to a neighbor, very clean and straight machine, fresh paint etc., the main diesel engine and pony run great!

My question is....whats the ballpark I should ask? He offered me $2000 for it. Is this a fair price?

Thanks

Take a look in the photo ads. There are several in there. One that I just looked at was $3500 and I don't think either engine ran. From your description, I would think $5000+. If you're going to sell for less than that, please let me know!!!!!

After I was able to get up off the floor I can only wish in my dreams of buying and R for 2 grand in good shape. One was just a no sale for 3100 dollars on ebay. Clean 5 grand would be a starting point. Let the guys know what you got.

Guys, thanks for all of your responses. I've decided not to sell to the neighbor. My R is for sale if anyone is interested. My father and I restored this tractor about 4 years ago, its sweet, chrome stack and all. Anyway, we used it in a few parades, dad passed away and its been sitting idle in our barn for about 2.5 years. I finally decided to pull it out yesterday and dust her off, shes just as pretty as before. Anyone want pic's then please let me know, I'm open to offers, lots of good memorys putting this one together.

Between $ 5,000 to $ 7500.00 depending on how bad they want it.

I'm no expert, but I would think it's worth double that.
