I may have to get mine a one way bus ticket to her Moms house and the 12 stray dogs she has dragged in since spring. Anybody want a Boxador puppy! They are cute!

I'm about out of ideas. I have her a new 3-1/2 chamber 12 gauge semi for deer hunting season. And put a new set of winter tires on her vehicle today? I happened to run a across a clean complete and running 1970's vintage Petter AV1 diesel for $250.00 yesterday. I could build the Petter into a co-generation plant to heat the swimming pool summer/house winter and supply power cheaply while running on waste vegetable oil.

I got mine a new cell phone. Her contraxct doesn't expire until the middle of December, but then she's gonna come over to my contract. Phones were on sale this weekend only so I got her a really nice one.

Takes pretty good pictures too and has an external memory card to load them onto the computer.

Well, my wife and I spend our Christmas gift money on children that will not have a christmas without someone. We remain anyoumous and just be able to watch the glow in those kids faces is enough for us. The Bible says it is more blessed to give than receive and when you are aable to see one of thosre kids faces, yopu really realize how blessed you are. James

Roy,How about a GPS unit for her car.Thay can be spendy but you can find them pretty reasonable if you don"t need all the bells and whisles.

I'm thinking of rubber farm boots. Chainsaw would be a nice gift, but a little pricey. Probably a pair of slacks and a sweater. Last year, got her a Carhart jacket for those cold nights at the barn. The key is to mix it up with some stuff she "wants" with some stuff you know that she "needs". I NEVER buy jewelry. Can't think of a bigger waste of money. (When I buy something from Victoria Secret, she says that is really a present for ME. Hmmm, maybe a trip to the mall is in order.)

Dan, key is to don't set any precedents. Get that gold spoon out of her mouth as quick as you can. If it won't come out now, it won't get any easier later on.

Sounds like you've been married as long as I have. About all she's mentioned is one of those Bose wave radios. Might be OK since I listen to the radio more than she does. Could just go blow the dust off the one that Dad got for Ma years ago. I don't think she ever turned it on. She'd for sure never miss it if I could find it.

One of the 5000 things she has hinted to over the year. I'll probably end up getting her that new "better" digital camera that she really likes. Looks the same as the one she has now, just more expensive. Anniversary is this weekend and I had forgotten, so I am scheduled to help haul 25 breeding sows to Albany, and I am supposed to finish up the corn combining. I kinda got myself in the doghouse, so now there is a ad for a $3000 diamond hanging on the fridge, not gonna buy that! So, right now I am not all that worried about christmas, this weekend is gonna be interesting. Maybe she can help load the hogs and come along in the combine!!

I just send her a card with a picture of one of my tractors and a nice note that goes something like, when this thing gets cranky and starts to balk, I just turn the switch off and it's nice and quiet. Glad yer gone.

A couple years ago I ordered Joann a new parts washer, but it was back ordered, and didn't come in time, so I taped a picture of it to her new snow shovel. I am supposed to get the last of the casts off next week.

Honest to gosh, I got my wife a new wheel barrow one year. She asked for one to make cleaning up behind her three hayburners easier. I got her other "woman type stuff" besides.

Well, where to start?

I guess the house won't be done until the second week of January, so that might not qualify as a Christmas present... pics of progress here:

Link

Bought a new fridge for the house the other day... but again, not in use 'till the second week of January...

Then yesterday bought a new bedroom set... but yet again, won't be in use until we move in January... bedroom set and fridge pics here:

Guess that fancy gadget for scrapbooking will have to do!

I have the same problem. New gf this year. Raised with a silver spoon in her mouth? No, that's a gold spoon, don't insult her!
That's sooo gonna be a problem for a country boy like me that was raised in hand-me-downs and helping cut wood to keep warm in the winter. Oh, and did I mention, her daddy's a banker?

Mine keeps hinting about jewelry. But it's some big test to see "how well I know her". I'm thinking something arranged for a day at a spa, she likes the manicures and pedicures and stuff, and she's always complaining about this or that hurting.

Just don't stick it out and take the marriage plunge under these circumstances. Her and her banker father WILL end up with your farm and you'll have nothing. If she even hints that she wants you off the farm, I'd call it quits today. There are many women out there who would give anything to be a farmer's wife. Be patient and find one of those women. You WON'T be sorry!
