I"m told there is really nothing to go bad in a hyd. pump on my 300 utility. I have what seems to be a pump problem. The 2 point hitch will go up and down at half thottle or better. If I stand on the 2 point hitch it doesn"t have enough power to pick me up.I have tryed 3 different valve regulator boxes on it and there"s no difference. At an idle the 2 point hitch won"t move at all. Thanks for any feed back, Dan

I WOULD CHECK THE SCREEN UNDER THE RESEVOIR TOP.THE TOP IS HEAVY TO LIFT OFF AND TAKES 2 PEOPLE TO LIFT.THE RESEVOIR IS UNDER YOUR SEAT.THE SCREEN CAN BECOME RESTRICTED,AND STARVE THE PUMP.

Common problem with the Farmalls/IH tractors. Hyd pumps wear and then you have little/no pressure. Only fix is a new pump. Yes they can be rebuilt but the common man doesn't have the stuff to do so and even if you could get the parts it will not work unless you have all the tools to do the job and they cost $10,000 plus

Well Dan, you have likely been told wrong. I suspect your pump is shot. There is no real rebuild for them. Seals and gaskets can be replaced, but gears sets are not available as far as I know.
