I was working on a 620 John Deere yesterday and had to remove the plugs, those 2 buggers took a half a day to get out! I worked and worked and sprayed kroil on them and worked some more. Do any of you have a better way? If so what is it.

Hard to believe you had trouble getting plugs out of a 2 cyl. ? I have torn some nasty rusted ones down and haven't encountered that yet.

Permatex Molybdenum disulfide anti-seize is great. Aircraft mechanics have used mica based anti-seize as well. The heat transfer capacity is important, I would be sure the material I use was not a barrier. JimN

Every Time I replace Spark Plugs, I put a little "Dab" of Silicone Grease on the Top of the Threads... Granted it will Disipate to some degree ,But it will leave a Film on the Threads, Never had a problem with Cast Iron heads Or aluminum... Larry KF4LKU

Deep Creep works better than anything I've tried and I've tried a lot of stuff over the years.

If not taking out and cleaned up every now and then they sure can be a animal to get out. BTDT. Are you sure they are the right ones? Heat.

Copper anti-seaze is made for higher temps. I use it on just about everything, espescially spark plugs and anything that gets hot, like exhaust manifolds and muffler clamps.

Now that would be a fight. Understandable. Lucky you didn't snap them or something else. Just have to cuss at it and go for a walk then come back to it. Patience and Pblaster.
