I have a 446 Case lawn tractor, it is a 1976 model and is painted like the 1570, VERY few were decaled and painted like this in this small size, About 2 years ago I located a 1570 Spirit that was built without a cab, the Case Archives verified that they did built it without a cab.

It was a 1570. Toy Farmer had amodel made of it a couple of years ago and show-cased it as tractor of the year.

Yes. 1570's were real brutes. The 1977 models had the power white/power red paint scheme.

Not many of them around either since they were only produced a couple of years.

Friend has a Spirit of '76 970 in his fleet.

I prefer the Black Knight tractors myself...

No such thing as a 970 Spirit of '76. Was only the 1570's.

What you say is generally correct. However, apparently a few owners had some other models besides the 1570 decalled as "Spirits." I knew of one just SE of Helena MT that was either a 970 or 1070, I can't remember which. Two of my friends and I stopped in about 10 years ago and looked at it and visited with the owner, Al Myles. He has since sold both his farm and the tractor.
A former partsman at the dealership where it was purchased remembered the original owner having it made into the "Spirit."

They were 1570's. Don't know a whole lot more about them. They do show up now and again.
