Sometimes when I push in on the clutch, the throwout bearing seems to be sticking and won't release.

Does this mean it's time to split her, or is there something else I can do?

The throwout bearing is sticking or the clutch isn't releasing? It keeps going? Bad throwout bearing will just grind and chatter if it's going out in my experience.

Once you push on the clutch and let off it won't release to engage. The pedal comes back. You can usually stomp on it several times and it will finally engage.

Does it have a torque amplifier? Sounds like a bad TA. I had a 706 that had one going out. Low was gone.Had been for a while. It started acting like that in high. I used it on the round baler. I'd go to start up after kicking out a bale, let up on the clutch and it would hesitate, then BAM,the frontend would be about 2 feet off the ground.Didn't do it all the time and that was the he!! of it,you never knew when you were gonna be tossed half way off the back of the seat.
