Howdy,

a good friend down in Cincinnati just purchased a John Deere B with the skeleton wheels on the back. He is looking for someplace that can make the bands for going over the orginal lugs so he can use it in parades and whatnot. All of my tractors are on rubber so I had no idea. Anyone know where I can direct his search? Thanks and God bless.

I live in central Wisconsin. I have a Mennonite neighbor with shop/mfg. business that makes tractor tire bands. One version of the bands has rubber flat tread on them for road use. I can get a phone # if you want. Email is open. Wayne

Are you talking about Hoover Repair, He has a
lot of family in Ohio, and ships stuff to Penn
quite often. Might drop them at one of the relatives
My son Tom lives 1/4 mile south of Hoover, I used
to live a mile east of him.

Hi Dave, Hoover's is who I meant. I know he ships Pa, and OH. It,s hard to say if shipping costs can be justified. You should remember me, Wayne Peterson. When you lived here, I rented your Oliver, and you helped me out with some other things. I haven't talked to Tom for a while, but Dora stopped over just before Christmas. Take care. Wayne

I've made a couple sets for local guys, but I can tell you that it would be too pricey for me to make them and ship them to Ohio. Any local fab shop worth calling themselves a fab shop could roll a set. The one's I made I even cut the tread of a couple 14.9 X 38 carcass tires I had and bolted the tread flat around the band so the tractor rode ok and had a little bite.
