Sitting at the puter is a bit uncomfortable yet so the post will be short, but I want to thank all of you for your supportive responses to my post a week ago, telling you about my impending surgery. I was choking a few back when I read them. It was interesting to hear all of the stories from those of you who have BTDT.

As bigJT reported the other day the one hour surgery turned into four hours because they couldn't get any signals through the spine before they started cutting, but all went well in the end and the nurses told me I was the fastest recuperator in the spinal section. As I understand my wife kind of became a basket case after the third hour. I know she was really wiped out that night. The staff at the hospital was very pleasant. I recommend them to anyone.

my wife measured the incision and it's a full five inches long, so no wonder we're a little tender up there. Well, mr woosy is coming back to haunt. Thanks again to all of you. Jim

Jim, Just wait till you get that big one in the chest and they use the old Skill saw to open you up. Its been 12 years now and I still hurt If I run my hand down the scar it hurts all the way and that chest wall pain is worse than the heart attack was.

Well we all hope that you are up and about soon and back to running the old farm and playing with tractors.
Walt

Follow the doctors orders to the letter and you`ll be ok , my cousin did and he is doing real good . Now I have had my back cut on 5 times and still have alot of pain but I started doing things before I should have . If I ever go through it again I WILL follow orders !!!

Glad to hear it, well now you have it on the downhill run, just like winter, before you know it, spring will be here and that surgery should be a distant memory.

Glad your back. Keep us up to date. By the way, it's 0 deg here in W Michigan and snowing and blowing like mad. I'll try to wait for the weather to calm down a little before I get the Farmall C out and plow my driveway. Hope your weather is better. Dave.

I think you got that surgery at the right time of year too . Cold days will help you recoup quicker . I hope the fix stays fixed . ...Randy
