That was yesterday. Today that tractor has the blower off, the loader off and is in the shop getting a new throwout bearing and clutch if it needs it.

I guess grease every oil change ain't enough on stop and go situations.

Using the starter to start in gear I was able to get some bales down off the pile and hay the cows before it went to the mechanic.

When the throwout bearing goes, sliding it out of gear or shutting it off is the only way to stop it.

Just another reason to like the JD Power Shift..... ok, the neck still gets sore, but dropping the armrest and riding side saddle works ok.

ElToro;

I'd be glad to make you a good deal on snow. I seem to have a bumper crop this year.

Sorry for ya Gary. Plus a sore neck to boot huh? Yeah that loader or constant shifting work blowing will kill em. Had to redo the clutch and pressure plate in my landscaping tractor last year and last month ended up putting both hydraulic pumps in it. Put about 3500 bucks in that old 175 Massey Ferguson tractor but it has more than earned it. Can't even imagine how many loader fulls that thing has lifted and carried. You guys have had a winter to bring back memories of the old days for sure. I remember when we used to sled off the roofs of the farm buildings the drifts were so high. This was in the sixties. Hang in there, we'll be making dust before you know it. Migraine

That will make the Hydro boys smile. Sorry, just had to throw that in, as I'm a clutch smoker too.

I figure it is just a matter of time before I tear the splines out of the pressure plate. Between the snowblower, round baler, grain vac and the occaisional stint on the batwing it is going to let go sooner or later. bill
