Does it stall, at 20 below when you release the
clutch, with 140 weight?

1-800-522-7448. There is much more to know about that tractor's care and operation. A copper friendly GL-4 Marine gear lube is the safest oil to use in old machinery. Don't make a mistake and pour gear lube into the pto. The gear lube will ruin the clutch plates.

In Mn we always used 90 wt so now it would be 80/90.

I like the GL-1 140 the best helps cut down on gear noise. :D

A JD B calls for GL-1 gear oil, not GL-5. I'd 'spect it's the same for a 60.

Find a dealer or someone that can get you some straight 140 w/t as the bronze bushing that are used in them doesn't like multi weight oil.

Aren't they just a sweet ol' tractor? The 60 and 70 were always my favorites.

Is yours late enough to have power steering?

Allan
