Just bought a Deutz 10006 at an action do they have a temperature gauge or light and if so where is the sender what is their normal operating temp.

Almost all of the 06 series tractors have a temp. sensor mounted to the last cylinder-head that is wired to the horn. This is also true of the oil-sending unit. If temp. gets to hot or oil-pressure drops below so many pounds, the horn sounds. This is also explained in the owner's manual.

Yes they have a gauge. Sending unit screws into one of the heads.

Those tractors should have a gauge on the dash. Should be a simple one with no numbers. Also runs fairly cool according to the gauge. You won't get uo more than about 1/2 inch on the gauge. In my experience anyways.

My brother had two Deutz tractors, models 'D60 06 and DX 110' and neither had a temperature gauge. It is necessary to kept the airway and fins clean.

air cooled still needs a temp. guage they can over heat and destroy tha pistons. the fuel air raito is important on them lean fuel mix will get hotter and burn valves.
