i use AMSOIL exclusivly in my sons race motorcycle. for me its cheaper than o.e.m. oil and you get more oz. per bottle. i have no problem finding it anywhere locally. our motorcycle dealer carries it, as well as being available at all major races. i dont worry about their marketing plan, i just use the product.

Shell Rotella T now markets a 5w-40 full syn for a pretty reasonable price; around $17 a gallon at WW. It carries the full list of C ratings and S too if you want to use it in gas engines. Beins Rotella is a heavy duty oil that a lot of OTR fleets rely on I have used it there as have friends and like it. It is also rated for farm, and industrial conditions.

Synthetics out perform in high heat, deep cold or extreme stress. Real synthetics that is. Many on the market are treated mineral oils rather than a true synthetic product. Amsoil, Royal Purple, Mobile 1/Esso & Lubrication Engineers make a real synthetic. I've never had problems with the marketing system. Just bought my card and either order the stuff by freight or stop by the warehouse. Synthetic will not "fix" a machine that is already wornout. No problems with oil leaks around here.Use synthetic in just about everything.

I tried Amsoil in a Buick V6, a Ford pickup
with 300 6 cyl, and an IH Scout II with an AMC
6 cyl. ALL vehicles had rocker cover oil leaks
after a few thousand miles, where there had been
none previous. This was in late seventys, and I
believed the oil attacked the cork gaskets used
then. The pickup owners manual said 10-30 oil
was ok in the 4 speed transmission, so I put in
Amsoil, and it really shifted nice, in winter,
after that. However I personally believe that it
is a pyramid scheme, buyer beware!

probley started leaking bacause synthetic oil will clean all the gunk out of a engine ,and it probley cleaned out the sludge that kept it from leaking in the first place .

AMSOIL's maketing was based on the TUPPERWARE model.

For Diesel: Mobil Delvac One 15W40 (full syn) or Mobil One Diesel 15W40 (full syn)
For Gas: Mobil One 5W30 or 10W30 (full syn)
Good or better than Amsoil and you can buy it ANYWHERE. Not crappy limited dealerships, snakeoil salesmen, back-alley sellers like Amsoil. Any product that is not good enough to sell anywhere in open competetion, or any company with a semi-closed marketing scheme will not get any business from me. Don't buy real Tupperware either, who needs it?

Amsoil is now sold in most farm supply stores ,maybe instead of slandering something you might try opening your eyes and closing your mouth .
