These were on Thursday, 5-1-08. West Point, IN, which is close to Lafayette. John Deere 4630 and a 750 15' no-till with the markers and drill fill puttin' soybeans in the ground. More should be done this coming week, all sun and 70's.

Hey, Thanks. Grandpa bought it almost new, something like 100 or 200 hours. Had it ever since. Onlt ever repainted the rear rims. Just last fall? maybe? Has 5200 hours now. O, and turns 220+ HP too ;) Been like that for 98% of the time he has owned it. But that's another story for another day.

Looking good. We're on the other side of town near Buck Creek. We just finished the beans Thursday night and the corn was done early in the week. I know a lot of guys who have been fighting the wet, but many of our fields have been dry enough to get it all done. Got .25" yesterday though, heard one of my fields got maybe twice that by the interstate. We're looking at getting an older Hiniker air bean planter with the center box and hopefully filling it the same way you are. Bags aren't that bad, but seeing the way you do it sure looks better. I do all of ours now with a Kinze rear fold set up on 16 units at 20". Only did 200 acres so it's not that big of a deal.

Grandpa(The guy standing by the wagon) only farms about 110 acres anymore. He rents out the other 100 across the road, by the brown house. I am going up on Sunday to finish the other 30 acres of beans. We did 21 acres this day after school Thursday. I live an hour south, so that cuts into the time available, but I will be going to Purdue in the fall of 2009, so I'll be able to do A LOT more. Can't wait!

I"m a former Hoosier who spent a few years in West Lafayette, Indiana going to a school named Purdue University. You might have heard of it. Graduated in "65. The countryside looks as pretty as I remember "way back then". Thanks for the pics.
