I recently came across a 1946 Farmall Model H in my buddies Grandmothers barn. Of course I saw it and thought it would look great next to my TD-9 back at home, she said make an offer, and we"ll talk. My question is, what would be a non-insulting offer for this model that has been sitting for 15+ yrs. and will need a minor over- haul, (there"s also a spare split rim with a decent tire mounted extra). Let me know what you think and I post pictures of it if I get it. Thanks for the help, Dan.

I gave $200 for mine. All it needed was a hot battery & an oil change. Runs like a top!

I paid 1,100 for a 1946 couple of years ago - probably too much except it had an exceptional hood. Came with belt pulley, fenders, and wheel weights.

With scrap around $250/ton any H would be worth
$400 and up.

Well, thank you for the feedback. The prices listed here are exactly what I was thinking. I'm just trying to do some homework because I know they'll do the same. Thanks for the help. Dan.

Farmall H are a dime a dozen in my area. I have had 3 of them for sale now fr over 3 years. All run well and the cheapest one I'm asking $600 for. So at least in my area they are only worth around $250 in non-running shape

Most I ever paid for a non-running tractor is $400 regardless of tin work, tires, etc. Even with a loose engine, you can stick a ton of money into one of these. See the thread below.
