My lower radiator hose on my AC WD was leaking around the top and bottom where it is clamped. It had been sealed with permatex as a gasket before, about 2 years ago. Now I took it apart, resealed it 2 weeks ago with new permatex, and now it has decided to leak again. It the antifreeze eating away at the sealant? The hose does not look bad. Some other sealant to use?

If the hose is bad on the inner liner, it will often leak through the fibers and appear to leak at the metal interface. JimN

Would JB weld work to fill in the deep pits in the metal? Just asking, but if it was cleaned up real good first shouldn"t it work?

I've run into this before with old castings. I remedied it by double clamping (two hose clamps on each end)

maybe the hose itself is bad. I'd replace it.

How ruff is the surface of the pipe its on?? Or maybe theres a crack in the pipe. I've seen both of those cause problems. My self if I have a problem like that I use silicone sealer and then let it sit a good hour or 2 before putting any coolant in to the system so it has tie to dry
