Hi,

Does anybody have any info or know of any websites I can work out the year
of manufature of this BMB President Type STP Serial No: 26. Am I correct in
saying its a Morris Oxford Engine. If you know of where parts, decals etc.
can be purchased that would be great too.

Ray: I think the engine might be from or the same as the engine from a Morris Minor because it was only 919 cc according to the book I have. If they numbered consecutively,a serial number of 26 would make me conclude it's a 1950 model because that's the year they started and I would hope they built more than 26 in a year. I would imagine there are fellows in Britain who would know where to get decals, paint etc. They were built by Brockhouse Engineering of Southport, Lancashire from 1950 to 55 and then they tried again in1957 with a 2 cylinder Petter diesel but that went nowhere. Sorry that's about all I've got. Good Luck. Tom

Together with a friend we have published a book on the BMB President which details the development of the tractor and also the two wheel cultivator range, Ploughmate,Cultmate and Hoemate.
I can also supply owners manual, spare parts book, engine spare parts book, ploughs and ploughing, midmounted implements, decals and general information.
Tractor no 26 is very early, the president was introduced at the 1950 Royal Show,so we must assume your tractor was produced in 1950.
The engine fitted was a industrial version of the morris e series engine.
Please contact me with what information you want.
