Such as accusing someone of something and using the Patriot Act to deny them of their rights and use them in any way by people on the local, state or national level.

I'm going to cut my home budget. According to the way the politicats do it that would mean that I have much more money to spend in '09 than I did in '08. I'll just cut the amount that I was going to increase the '09 budget by 10%.

You are wrong! The spending started in the mid 60's and has went up every year.

Considering my drivers licence cost $150.00 every 4 years because of the patriot act and my wife pays $15.00 you do not want to know what I think of it.

Go back to your high school civics lessons. It is up to the Supreme Court to determine the constitutionality of laws passed by Congress. Ultimately the court system will decide one way or another whether PATRIOT is constitutional.

Technically we hadn't been attacked on our soil between 1941 and 2001 either. The Patriot act didn't exist then. How do you know the Patriot Act is the reason now?
My house is built for 50 years and is fine and one day starts on fire and burns to the ground. I rebuild and place a lucky horseshoe over the door frame. For the next ten years it hasn't burned once.

Did it burn the first time because of a lack of horseshoe?

Has it not burned again because of the newly installed horseshoe?

this administration is using more ways than one to bypass the US Constitution. The patriot act is nothing. look at the power they have handed the secretary of the treasury, A WILLFUL TAX CHEAT CROOK CRIMINAL HACK, to spend A TRILLION DOLLARS to "absorb" toxic assets as he and his staff sees fit. There is no structure on this planet, business, govt, or even a supercomputer that could effeciently spend a trillion dollars. the amount of waste and theft we are about to witness will be beyond any human comprehension. years ago you thought the govt paying 100 dollars for a claw hamer was shocking....better have your heart pills close if you wanna survive what is to come.

Well tell me how Bush and company did away with 4.5 trillion then? Bush ran on less spending and less gov. Look what we got. The Iraq war was for the first time added in our national budget. Before the election that money was just pulled from the treasury. I'm sure that was an over run of the Constitution as well.

I don't like what's going on now but I will say this. We had all better hope it works. If it doesn't the depression will look like a grand time. Our country was already heading in the wrong direction with spending. Bush just took a knife and gutted it and sped it up. You cannot cut taxes and go to war at the same time. It will not work.

since it was passed, we haven't been attacked on our soil by those that would cut your throat and post it on al jazeera have we? you need to wake up, pull your head out of the sand and tune out the fantasy that al franken and his ilk put on airwaves that the tax payers are forced to pay for. somehow the stations that broadcast truth do not need funding from the govt. AMAZING, huh einstein?

You apparently don't understand. I'm a Libertarian, and I believe that NEITHER party in goernment has any business taking away our rights and freedoms. I don't beliee the leftist propaganda any more than I belive Limbaugh is anything more than an entertainer.

Answer me this: What government, once it took rights and freedoms away from its citizens, has EVER given them back? Just name ONE.

Buzzman, you have to figure out that there isn't much that t-40 does understand! I'll close with a game of who am I quoting: "There is nothing more exhilarating (t-40, that means exciting) than to be shot at without result." Guess who I am quoting.

My response was to railhead, not T-40.

But I think some days that T-40 gets OFF his meds before he posts. My wife is on Prozac, and it makes her MORE calm, not less.

Well DIY you need to read who Buzzman was responding to.It wasnt me.
Typical response out of you, probably didnt even read what I wrote and try to look like you are superior or something. You are quoting Winston Churchill who was Prime Minister of England during WW2.Which in those days was equivalent to the President of England which had a King and Queen at the time.

The left had there chance at a radio broadcast system. They went under because even they did not want to hear it.
