Been reading the tool talk forum and PB Blaster penetrating oil is often mentioned. Does anyone know if you can get it in Canada, and if so who sells it? Sounds like a guy needs some if it's as good as they say. Thanks.

I can't vouch for the penetrating qualities of pb blaster, but I can give you one use for it---Killing wood bees. I had some that seemed to be immune to all kinds of insect sprays---read one time from a post on here how pb blaster kills wood bees....I sprayed it into the holes they had made, and it killed the ones in there, and I haven't seen a wood bee around there since!!! I couldn't believe it, I had been spraying them and nothing seemed to work, but the pb blaster did it, and didn't seem to stain the wood or anything....I have no idea why it works so good on them! I did (and do) have an M farmall with a stuck piston, the pb blaster didn't "undo" 20 years of rust though!!

WD 40 is also instant death for wasp... I don't know what it is that they don't like about it... but it hits them hard and instantly. They don't even have a chance to get mad before they drop dead...

Hello Dan:

I work at a Ford Motor Company Dealership in Winnipeg, Manitoba (Canada) and I am trying to locate this PB Plaster for a tech in the shop. Could you supply me with a store address and a phone number where I can buy this stuff.

Thanks in advance.

Mike, I don't know what kind of regulation there is as far as shipping across the border. If not any, check with Steve at US Alloys over on the tool talk board. He said they sell it and listed an 800 number. You can buy it in all sorts of stores here.

I am also interested in this product - sounds like the greatest invention since sliced bread. A friend of mine, who is a Manufacturers Agent, is checking it out. Will keep you posted.

PB is the only penetrant I'll use on the farm. I work for a Pepsi Bottler and it's the only thing the maintenence super will let in the plant. One of my hunting buddies works for CSX and it's all they use in their shops. The only thing that's close is Kroil, but it's hard to get. WD-40 isn't even worth fooling with, except for arthritis. It won't even work as starting fluid anymore.

Some big shots that tried both say Kroil is better too!
