John Deere No. 44 Plow Antique Tractor
 | My dad had originally bought this plow about 15 years ago for 75 because it worked. I am not sure why he bought it as we never had anything that could pull it. Anyway, he took it all apart and had ground down and repainted some of the parts. The drive wheel had been found in Yugoslavia because we could not find any like that in this size out here. Farmers usually just put a car tire with a snow chain for the drive wheel. Anyway I finally finished this plow this summer (my dad took it apart, had no clue how it went back together) I bought and own an original manual. If anyone needs help with this sort of plow let me know. I can scan and send you pages of the manual if you need. Decals are currently absent as I haven't had the money to buy them. SO far everyone who has come and seen it wants to buy it. I hope to use it when I finish my 1950 John Deere B. Submitted by Karl Bader, from PA |
