if it has a injection pump and injectors its a diesel, the gas part of the engine is for starting ONLY..its a unique feature that IH only used, it starts up on gas after warmeing up for a few minutes you push the lever and it switches it over to diesel and kills the gas ignition and closes off the intake to the gas side.. before you purchase the crawler i would advise that you hear it run on DIESEL>. all the start on gas engines were prone to cracking heads.. the reason they cracked was whoever run the machines all day would shut them right down, this is a NO NO,, they should set and idle for atleast 20 min to cool the head down then its safe to shut them off..if the eng dont run properly then you can assume that the engine will need extensave (expensive) work. i am currentley rebuilding a TD-6 eng that has a bad head..
