H clutch questions

I am rebuilding a 1948 farmall "H" and the clutch disc looks almost warn out so I am going to repalce the disc. is it recomended to change the pressure plate also since I have it this far torn aprat? Or is there a way to test the pressure plate to see if it is still good. Just trying to save $100 on a pressure plate or saving myself a $100 headache down the road.
any info or suggestions from you guys would be great
