The bucket was empty at the time of the incident and I was going uphill on Ice. (well within speed limits for the application due to going uphill on ice which hampered my progress). I was just "scratching" the ice to make it less slick. This setup has handled waaaaaaaaaaay more than what I gave it. I believe it was just one of those things where angles were just right to transfer the impact to the right area. Probably couldn't do ity again if I wanted to. I don't fill the bucket full of heavy items such as dirt because I feel the weight is too much for the front steering even though IH list/rates the 574 right in the middle of the size of tractor that this loader is designed for. There is generally alot of "slack" in the quick mounting system that takes up any typical impacts. I believe that this "slack" must have been reduced by the angles I was working with, etc..
