Paint Job on Super M

I am fixing to paint our Super M. All I want is a protective coat that will last and look pretty good from a distance. Don't know much about painting. First I am going to pressure wash the tractor, brush, sand blast and apply rust remover to the rusted areas, let dry and prime with a primer for heavily rusted metal(though ours is not). Then coat with an acrylic enamel(Tractor supply - BPS) to which I will add a hardner. I am going to use a Sears electric paint gun. How many coats? Anything I plan to do that I should change? Thanks for any tips that you can give me.
