Warning when Spring gets here

My 140 is in a shed with no door. Two years ago, after the tractor sat for a few weeks, cranked it up and drove off. After about 5 minutes, flames erupted from under the hood just in front of the gas tank. No extinguisher, age prevents effective improvised fire fighting, if you know what I mean. Wren had built a nest at the top back of the engine between the exhaust manifold and the valve cover. Headed the tractor toward the house for water. Fire burned out just as I reached the water. Hood looks a mess. I look over the tractor really well before cranking it now.
