Hi Ray, sounds like your low on fluid or the fluid & filter needs changed. Could also be a stuck relief valve. Take a plastic screw driver handle to your ear and do some probing to make sure the noise is coming from the pump area.

As I grew older (7), it was the thrill of my day to ride or drive on the tractor. My Papaw had a 1954 IH Super A that he bought to replace a Cub.
