I use non-detergent oil in my tractor only because the guy I bought it off of used it. If a tractor has been running on non-detergent and you switch to detergent it will clean out the sludge as everyone has said. This may not be a bad thing, but you engine may begin to burn oil because this sludge is gone. That is what one of the old timers told me, so I just thought I would let you know.
