Ron I use 15/40 CAT brand(work there)or rotella in my gas 2424. I read somewhere that the anti-soot agents in a fleet/diesel oil will help keep engines that sit a while between use, from condensation damage. Plus, my tractor had no prior maintence history, I mean none! I practicly had to push the crude out with compressed air! Finally the oil stays pretty clean, and it doesnt smoke yet.
