Yeah, and 431 would have been an almost-new road then! When I graduated from Sheridan in '62, we were probably the 2nd largest HS in Hamilton County. Now Sheridan is by far the smallest. I came to Carmel in the fall of '70, and since then we've built the JH that I'm in, re-modeled the HS twice, the other JH once, and built 4 elementaries. We got some projections a few days ago that say school enrollment will continue to grow through at least 2010, with over 4400 in the HS by then, and nearly 3600 in the two 6-8 junior highs. Carmel is now the 12th-largest city in Indiana!
