My dad grew up in rural southwest MO. Called to duty during WWII and never went back to the farm. All my uncle's stayed so I got a small taste of it on weekends. Like you I always felt like I should be on the farm. I work in a large hospital and have to cover a lot of call and it requires that I live close into town.Don't know where your from but here any land close to a town only rich folks can afford. So here I sit in the city of Springfield on a small lot with 3 farmalls......go figure. My 78 year old dad though has caught the Farmall bug with me and he bought a 1950 C at a sale last fall that we restored with much help from this forum. So dad and me along with my 9 year old son go out and fiddle with our tractors and talk about how it used to be when my pop was growing up on the farm in the 30s and 40s.Old iron can bring people and the past together.
