I’ve spend several hours in my library but I think I’ve finally figured out the “F80”. In the book “Tractors Nobody Ever Bought”, by some guy NOT named Fay, chapter 4, page 127, paragraph 8 I found some information on what is probably the tractor in question.. I believe what the gentleman saw was not an F80 but rather a very rare model of the Farmall “0-8 “ This tractor was rated 8 belt horsepower and 0 drawbar horsepower. While these tractors were quite adequate for a number of belt applications the cost of owning a second tractor to move them from job to job made them a little inconvenient since they could not move under their own power. Their sales dropped to zero when farmers realized they could have them same thing by buying a stationary engine and putting it on wheels.
