Cub Cadet 122, Kohler Engine (Cast Iron)

My 122 needs major repair, valves and perhaps cylinder. I am trying to find the best manual which will help me do this work (with pictures). I never did valve and cylinder work before.
Any expert suggestions of appropriate or best manual will be appreciated. Also let me know where you usually find it. Book store?
