Blake, I hate to be the bearer of bad news, but this won't be easy unless you take the head to a machine shop. If you can weld, try welding a nut to the end of the stud. The heat will usually break the rust free and the nut gives you something to turn it with. If that isn't possible, you will have to drill it out and work out the pieces. If you can get the head into a vise on a drill press, it will be much easier to center the drill bit on the stud. There are left-hand drill bits that work backwards from "normal" bits. Sometimes these will exert enough force to back out the broken piece if the heat is enough to loosen the rusted threads. If all this fails, drill out the hole oversize and install a heli-coil insert and a new stud. This might be the easiest in the long run. Good luck, Phil Been there, done that!
