I asked a question about this last August and the answer was right on target. I have looked at all 771 hydraulic messages in the archives, and didn't seem to find the answer to this one. Last August the hydraulics quit working and someone said to check the pump. When I took it apart, I found the nut on the shaft had came off. After putting it on, everything worked perfect. A couple of weeks ago I was going to plow, and the disk wouldn't lift. Thinking it was the nut again, I took the pump off but it was on and everything in there "looked" new. Well, I put new oil in, bled it good, (using both front and back levers at the same time) but it won't lift over a couple of inches with any weight on back. With no weight on back, it works like it is supposed to. I am using the same set of 4'disk that I've used for years. There is no oil getting mixed into the engine oil, so I am assuming there is no leak. I don't have access to a gauge to see how much pressure it is putting out. Being physically limited to what I can do at the present moment, I would like to do whatever it takes the first time if possible. Any ideas on where to start? Thanks guys for a wonderful site. Merlin.
