Replacing TA?

Is it difficult to replace/repair the TA in a Farmall 300? How about cost and availability of parts for this model? We've had Farmalls for years, but have never had to work on the TA. I assume that it involves splitting the tractor. Other than the clutch, what else would be good to repair/inspect while this job is being done? Thanks for your help.
