The Sterling line of OTR tractors is what used to be the Ford line. What Freightliner basically did is put Stering badges on the Fords. If you park the Sterling next to a Ford of the same truck class, the only difference is the badges. Literally. From a distance, you can't tell them apart. I'm thinking that the Sterling line may be a lower-priced alternative to the Freightliner line, but I have no way of knowing for certain.
