How to ID a sickle mower?

I just bought a 5' rear sickle mower for my '41 A. It's definitely IH, but where would I look for model#'s and serial numbers?

I need to get a couple cutters, and the two heavy springs that appear to adjust how high the far end of the bar rides.

Also, the "pitman" arm wooden piece needs to be replaced. What kind of wood should I use to make a replacement?
