My Wifes Dad drove Sterling Trucks The cabs some were made of wood in the 30's and 40's. Said you had to beat them back together sometimes. They quit making it and shelved the name and my assumption is the name was bought by Freightliner or Dailmar/chrysler.
I looked under the hood of a Sterling with a Mercedes engine and one with a Cat. Alot under the hood said Freightliner. I don't see a future with Sterling and Ford together.
