I have cleaned up the connections but it still grounds out. What I've done to try to eliminate possible problems is hooking the battery directly to the starter. Then running a jumper lead from the neg. terminal(since its pos. ground) to the coil. It still does it. It is really troublesome when the engines cold. Today I had it running a long time and got it all warmed up. Every time I would resart it wasn't a real problem, the starter would barely engage before the engine fired. I figured if I couldn't get it all worked out I could pull on the starting lever to get the engine turning then after a few revelutions pull out the on/off switch. What releally stinks now is after getting the carb. adjusted and letting it get good and warmed up the timing cover is now leaking. So now I have to go back and pull the radiator and front off. Oh well thats all in the fun off it. I would really like to get the electrical worked out though. Thanks for your help.
