I have seen the starter lock in and lock up the engine but i think that you have more trouble then that ,chec to see if the dist. turns after you pull the starter out also pull the plugs and try to turn it by the fan. It could have broke a cam gear if it just stopped.If you can't find the problem you can E/MAIL me.
