As stated by Charlie, the M belt pulley does not have a drain. There is a small amount of tranmission fluid in there and it is supplied by splash up from the tranny. To drain it, you have to take the bolts loose that hold the pulley shaft assembly in. These are the bolts behind the flange that the belt pulley mounts on. Once the bolts are out, you can slide out the shaft, bearings and gear as a unit. To change the seal, you have use a press to remove and reinstall the bearings, as they are pressed on. If you don't have a press, take the shaft assembly to a shop that has one. I don't recall if the gear is pressed on or not. When you put it back together, be sure you put back the shims that are between the flange of the shaft assembly and the pulley housing. These shims adjust the gears to the proper mesh. Put them back just like you found them. Also make sure all is absolutely clean regards the mounting surfaces and the shims. One little piece of dirt on the shims or the seating surface and it won't seal and you will have a leak. When you get it back together, refill the belt pulley through the plug on top of the pulley housing with whatever oil you have in the tranny. Capacity is one pint. It is lubricated after the initial fill by splash up from the tranny.

I’d probably plowed about 3000 acres (in my head anyway) by the time they found me. This is where my love for tractors started and has only gotten worse in my tender 50 yrs on this “green planet”. I’m par
