I do not know of a German diesel that was NOT sleeved. I have rebuilt 358s, 310s, 239s, 246s, & 179s. Every one of them had wet sleeves with one O-ring in the block to seal the coolant jacket. Look at the German diesel service manual. All it shows is wet sleeves. As a matter of fact, we have an 826 in our shop getting overhauled right now & the sleeves are out of it. Maybe there is a German diesel without sleeves, but I have never seen one.
